Miaka is generally described as having a sunny disposition. She smiles a lot, and jokes as well. If the mood of a situation is becoming too serious or too boring, she'll crack a pun or something like that. She also enjoys eating, quite a bit, and will do so at almost any opportunity.
She isn't the best student, in general. She sometimes misses the proper meaning of some words, falls asleep in class, and she gets confused easily. Although, before she is taken into the book, she becomes very serious about her studies, with the hopes to enter the presigious Jonan academy with her best friend Yui.
While she is generally light and frivolous, when the situation calls for it she can become serious as well, naturally. She cares about her seishi, and generally cares about everyone, even her enemies.
Her main fixation is Tamahome, one of her seishi. She falls in love with him, and after a time Tamahome realizes that he is in love with her as well. Their love is proven time and time again, much to our satisfaction. Some people dislike her relationship with Tamahome, because they believe that the romance is unrealistic, and too perfect.
