Mudou Setsuna
Main character of Angel Sanctuary, he is a highschool student who seems to get himself into alot of trouble. Setsuna has a few friendly relationships with people, though in the series he is intially in love with Sara, his younger sister. Every one BUT them shuns this love life, and looked down upon, even by his close friend Kira.(Who painfully keeps his mouth shut.)There is more to Setsuna that meets the eye though, he is the reincarnation of the angel Alexiel who rebelled against God. Destined to suffer a deadly and painful death because of this, the fate of the world and heaven rests in his hands. Setsuna though, coming across his delima is trying his best to be ignorant of how vital he is.
Personality: Setsuna is pretty much a smart mouth when it comes to being bothered by humans, demons, or whatever that seems to get in his way. Having great affection though for both his sister and Kira, he would fight for either of them- even if it ment death. Upon hearing on exactly who he is, he tried his best to block that out and run away from the problem, but later Setsuna realizes he is the only one who could prevent the end of the world.

Sakuya Kira
Eighteen years old and friend (lover here) of Setsuna, Kira is pretty much an all round cool guy. Smooth with his words and actions, he looks after Setsuna and keeps him out of trouble the best he can. Though he frowns upon who Kira is in love with, he painfully keeps it silent and supports him. (awww.) Though, there is more to this character. He is first off Nanatsusaya, the soul of Alexiel's holy sword. Seocnd, he is latest incarnation of Lucifer. The real Sakuya Kira was taken over by this spirit at the age of seven as he was dying during a car accident. Nanatsusya made a deal and offered to become with with his soul and use his body- and he will grant whatever the wishes the boy had. Having a big heart Kira asked him to make his father hate him- so he won't mourn when he dies. Kira though- fails to do so as his father loves him so greatly.
Personality: From the start, the only reason Kira was looking out for Setsuna was because he was Alexial's incarnet. Though as the years passed he has formed a love and compassionet feelings toward him. Though he tries to pretend he dislikes the earth, Kira later realizes hecars for Setsuna and the mortal earth. In relationship with his father, he tried to be the worst son- according to the REAL Kira's wishes. Failing, his father still loved him, and he too realized he loved his 'father' as well. All and all, Lucifer can love. (^^;)
